Rather than work on clearing out my Tivo, I've spent the night goofing off at ancestry.com. I've learned a couple of things.- Despite having great grandparents both named Flanigan who were from the same rural county in Western PA, there is no direct indication of inbreeding.
- I am related to President Bush (through Barbara). That's right, George W. Bush is my 8th cousin 2 times removed (Wahoo, party time with the twins!)
- Other famous people I am related to: Gerald Ford, Benjamin Harrison, Judy Garland, Mae West, John Wayne, Walt Disney, Frank Lloyd Wright, Lyndon Johnson, J.P. Morgan, Davy Crockett, Truman Capote, Helen Keller, Walt Whitman, E E Cummings, Joan Crawford, Butch Cassidy, Laurence Olivier, Rudyard Kipling, Mary Jo Frantz - I'm obviously destined for greatness.
